Questions patients ask us
How do I check a dentist's qualifications?
Ask which degree they hold (BDS, and MDS for specialists) and in which specialty. Dentists in India must be registered with the State Dental Council.
Should I see a specialist or a general dentist?
For check-ups, cleaning and fillings, a general dentist. For implants, complex root canals, gum surgery, braces or full-mouth work, a specialist in that field.
Are online reviews reliable?
They're a useful guide, especially recent, detailed ones. Look for comments about explanations, pain control and follow-up, not just a star rating.
What are warning signs?
Pressure to start expensive treatment on the first visit, no written estimate, no X-rays before major work, or reluctance to explain alternatives.
