What decides the cost
How much your teeth need to move. This is the biggest factor. Invisalign itself comes in different packages based on case size, from short courses for minor crowding to comprehensive treatment for complex bites. More movement means more aligners and more visits.
One jaw or both. Some people only need the upper or lower teeth straightened. Treating one jaw costs less.
Your bite. Correcting an overbite, underbite or crossbite takes longer than straightening front teeth, and may need elastics.
Refinements. Most courses end with a few extra aligners to fine-tune the result. Whether these are included is shown on your estimate.
Retainers. Clear removable retainers, a fixed wire behind the front teeth, or both. Some people need replacement retainers over the years.
Treatment first. Decay, gum disease or a deep clean must be dealt with before aligners start, and these are priced separately.
The brand. Invisalign is usually the most expensive system. Other established aligners, such as ClearCorrect, SureSmile and Illusion Aligners, can achieve a similar result for many cases at a lower fee. See aligner brands compared.
Invisalign, other aligners and braces
| Typical relative cost | Visits | Best for | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metal braces | Lowest | Every 4–8 weeks | Many complex tooth movements, after assessment |
| Ceramic braces | Higher than metal | Every 4–8 weeks | All cases, less visible |
| Other clinic aligners | Middle to high | Every 6–10 weeks | Mild to moderate cases |
| Invisalign | Usually highest | Every 6–10 weeks | Mild to complex cases in the right hands |
| At-home aligner kits | Often lower | Few or none in person | Simple cases only |
How to compare quotes
When you compare clinics, check:
- Who plans and supervises the treatment. A specialist orthodontist, or someone else?
- How many aligners and visits are included, and what happens if more are needed.
- Whether refinements and retainers are included.
- What the scan and records cost, and whether they’re credited if you go ahead.
- What happens if you lose an aligner.
A cheaper quote that leaves out refinements or retainers often costs more by the end.
Getting your estimate
Book an orthodontic assessment. Our orthodontist examines your teeth and bite, takes X-rays and a scan, and shows you the planned movement. You leave with a written estimate for each suitable option, Invisalign, another aligner brand or braces, so you can choose with the full picture.
Questions patients ask us
How much does Invisalign cost in Gurugram?
It depends on your case. Mild crowding treated in one jaw costs much less than a full correction of both jaws and the bite. We give you an itemised written estimate after the assessment and 3D scan, before you decide.
Why is Invisalign more expensive than other aligners?
Invisalign is a premium system and is usually priced higher than other aligner brands. Other established systems can cost less for a similar result in many cases. We'll compare the options for your teeth.
Is Invisalign more expensive than braces?
Usually, yes. Metal braces generally cost the least, ceramic braces more, and aligners more again, though a short aligner course can cost less than a full course of braces.
What is included in the estimate?
The assessment records, the 3D plan, all the aligners, attachments, review visits, refinement aligners if they're included in your plan, and retainers at the end. Anything extra, such as cleaning or fillings first, is listed separately.
Are at-home aligners cheaper than Invisalign?
Often, because there are fewer in-person visits with an orthodontist. They suit only simple cases, and problems such as gum disease or decay are easier to miss. See our comparison of aligner brands.
Does insurance cover Invisalign?
Most Indian health insurance policies don't cover orthodontic treatment, especially when it's for appearance. Check your own policy; we can give you the paperwork you need.
